Supporting alternative physiological births: A research series

Date/Time: Wednesday 3rd March 7-8pm, running consecutively for 4 weeks

Buy tickets: Here

Info: Starting Wednesday 3rd March 7-8pm, running consecutively for 4 weeks, I am offering a deep-dive into my recent PhD research: How NHS midwives support and facilitate alternative physiological births in the UK i.e., normal birth choices ‘outside of the guidelines.’

Each week we will focus on a key theme, first through a presentation, then space for a discussion with opportunities to ask questions:

Webinar 1 Relationship building (Wed 3rd March 7-8pm)

Webinar 2 Processes of support (Wed 10th March 7-8pm)

Webinar 3 Behind the scenes (Wed 17th March 7-8pm)

Webinar 4 Birth facilitation (Wed 24th March 7-8pm)

All are welcome to the series; it will be particularly relevant to midwives, obstetricians, birth workers and those interested in supporting human rights during childbirth. It is anticipated that shared learning will support those wishing to support these choices in clinical practice.

All four sessions are included in the ticket cost and for those unable to make an individual session, the presentation will be recorded and made available afterward. The discussion will not be recorded.
